PRECISION STRUCTURAL TESTING - Proof of structural
integrity ( air infiltration, water penetration and structural loads) can be measured and
recorded accurately on systems as large as 12 feet high and 24 feet wide. Your
products can be tested under both uniform and concentrated loading at wind velocities in
excess of 200 mph. Water penetration tests are conducted under test condition ranges
up to 20 pounds per square foot of surface and air infiltration tests are measured at air
volumes as high as 175 cfm. Whatever your test requirements NCTL can provide you the
expertise and precision testing necessary to meet your needs.
THERMAL
PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS - Due to the ever increasing emphasis on energy conservation,
Architects, Engineers and Code Bodies are specifying products which have been tested and
evaluated for thermal performance, condensation resistance and solar heat gain by an
independent testing laboratory. To meet this demand, NCTL is equipped with an
automatically controlled environmental test chamber, using state of the art technology,
coupled with an engineering staff trained in thermal performance computer modeling.
FIELD
EVALUATIONS - Improperly installed architectural products can cost a
manufacturer/owner/developer both repair time and money. NCTL's trained
professional staff can evaluate your installed fenestration systems in the field to raise
your confidence level in a project well done or pinpoint a not so obvious problem.
METRO-DADE IMPACT TESTING - A new
facility with innovative precision test equipment has been completed (Spring 2004) and
your window mock-ups are able to be tested in a wide range of sizes and shapes to meet or
